Toronto Public Library
"Better by Volumes"
The Toronto Public Library needed to find a new reason for people to want to drop by. Books just aren't doing it these days - but what else did they have to offer?
I dug up a deep benefit: the peace and quiet that libraries are famous for are the perfect oasis for some respite amidst a cacophonous city. Digital signs that are equipped with a decibel meter (cool tech-speak for a $20 gadget that tells you how loud it is) remind people just how noisy it can really get in Toronto.
